The EFEE World Conference on Explosives and Blasting has established itself as one of the key international blasting events. Our Helsinki conference in 2019 was attended by over 400 attendees from 51 countries with a large industry exhibition including the biggest names in the industry. We are excited to announce that the 11th World Conference will be held in the superb city of Maastricht, Netherlands.
As the world begins to recover from COVID-19 the 11th edition of the conference will be an important return to business for the industry. The conference will take place from Sunday 15th to Tuesday 17th May 2022 and includes technical presentations, an industry exhibition, technical excursions, educational workshops, welcome drinks reception and gala dinner.
With phenomenal progress being made globally with the vaccination rollout, we hope that by delaying the conference until May 2022 it will ensure a safer and more accessible conference.
This unique event draws attention from explosives users, manufacturers and drilling equipment operators as well as researchers and professionals involved in the construction and mining industry.
The technical sessions will be divided into key themes. Authors will present their papers in English to an audience in a lecture style format with some time for questions from the audience.
The conference will focus on practical papers on the following themes:
- Blast Design Management
- Blast Vibration and Seismology
- Blasting Work Experiences
- Construction, Mining & Quarrying (Blasting)
- Demolition Blasting
- EU Directives & Harmonisation Work
- Explosive Detection for Security
